After the winter, when I was more interested in knitting hats for myself and for children, I wanted to take a crochet hook in my hand. The coincidence was that at the time I was looking for crochet inspiration, Pinterest was full of ideas for Easter decoration. When I came across a crocheted bunny tutorial, I decided to decorate this year’s Easter wreath with them. In today’s post, you can find a
- Styrofoam ring (22cm in diameter)
- Thick garn – baby yellow & beige/brown
- White pompoms (diameter 15mm)
- Hot glue gun & glue sticks
- Crochet hook
- Plastic eggs winded with jute twine
- Colorful ribbon
1. Crochet bunnies
As I said, I found a crochet bunny tutorial on Pinterest. Or you can download it directly from the author’s blog – here.
2. Decorating the corpus
I wound the styrofoam corpus with a yellow garn. Do not pull too much wool to make it too thin. The wool did not slip on the styrofoam and held beautifully.
3. Decorating the wreath
At first I glued the crocheted bunnies with a hot glue gun.
Then I decorated the wreath with eggs wrapped in colored jute yarn. To learn how to make these eggs, read my tutorial on how to make a burlap bubbles Easter wreath.
